Raymond-Bradford Homestead

The Raymond-Bradford Homestead is a historic house on Raymond Hill Road in Montville, Connecticut. It is a 2-1/2 story wood frame structure, five bays wide, with a hip roof. It was built in stages, with the oldest portion dating to about 1710. The house is notable for its continuous ownership by a single family.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=NRHP nomination for Raymond-Bradford Homestead )〕 The first owner of the house was Mercy Sands Raymond. Before moving to the mainland she lived on Block Island, where it is thought she accommodated Captain Kidd and was paid handsomely for the help.
The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on April 16, 1982.〔
